What Arrow Mill Hotel say about their wedding venue:
Arrow Mill Hotel & Restaurant is set in the heart of rural Warwickshire, close to Stratford upon Avon by the Roman market town of Alcester and surrounded by a spectacular secluded riverside setting.
Arrow Mill is an independently owned country hotel run by Chef Simon Woodhams and his family. The Woodhams’ approach to running the hotel and restaurant is all about flexibility, so if you want something really special for a function, reception or conference you’ll find Arrow Mill will adapt to whatever you need.
Civil weddings and wedding receptions at Arrow Mill are something we do exceptionally well and over the years have gained an enviable reputation. The perfect riverside location with lake and grounds for the photographs, the bars, courtyard and garden terrace for reception drinks before and after, and the Millstream Restaurant for the Wedding Breakfast.
The setting – a perfect location for a wedding, beautiful sweeping willows, the serenity of the mill pool, the grandeur of the sweeping drive and the arched entrance to the Mill are just the start.
The Arrow Mill is nestled between the M5 to the West and the M40 to the East, making it easy to get to us by car.

What I think of Arrow Mill Hotel as a wedding venue:
The Arrow Mill hotel is a very unique venue as it was a working flour mill for over a thousand years and is mentioned in the Domesday Book! It is not all Doom and gloom at this venue though, far from it. It is not often you come across a place that is filled with history and character like the Arrow Mill.
The Mill is situated on the River Arrow, where in the past it would use the rivers water to drive the wheel. Because of this, the mill is situated in a beautifully scenic area surrounded by the sound of running water with trees and fields as far as you can see. The main road is well hidden by all the foliage and you can easily forget just how close you are to the busy A46.
Central to the Mill is its wheel, which has been completely refurbished. Bearings, shaft and the timber parts have all been renewed or replaced and the wheel sluice renovated. After many stationary years the wheel is now turning again since dredging the badly silted up mill feed returned a water flow to drive the wheel and provide a fresh water feed to the lake.
With the way the river divides into two, it has allowed a central island to form right next to the mill which can only be accessed through the main driveway, on the island is the car park as well as a helicopter landing zone. The field on the island is large considering its location and works wonders for when it comes to taking photographs. It was difficult to choose where to shoot with some many possibilities and so little time to do them all.
The Arrow Mill Hotel is definitely one of my favourite venues to work at.
